Mel Pinick

Mel is a dedicated advocate aiming to enhance the lives of working individuals in Kansas. Through her personal experiences balancing work, health challenges, childcare expenses, and family caregiving, she successfully influenced her employer to implement a fully paid 12-week parental leave policy for all new parents. Her determination to create positive change motivated her to run for political office in an effort to improve living conditions in Kansas, particularly for families. Despite coming close to victory in the previous election, Mel is now leveraging her past learnings to construct a more effective campaign team and strategic plan aimed at securing a win and disrupting the supermajority in the Kansas House of Representatives.
