Mario Benavente

Mario Benavente is a two-term Fayetteville City Council member, licensed attorney, and candidate for mayor. A proud E.E. Smith Golden Bull and graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and NCCU School of Law, he has championed public safety reforms and youth investment by establishing an Office of Community Safety in his hometown to provide more comprehensive 911 response. Mario is dedicated to leading Fayetteville into a new era of safety, opportunity, and progress.
