Tom, a native of Oswego County, became the youngest legislator in New York State in 2016 when he was elected to the Oswego County Legislature at the age of 22. Drumm, with a background in labor relations and political organizing, is now a candidate for State Senate in New York’s 50th district. If elected, he aims to advocate for economic policy reform, combat childhood poverty, and improve education access. Drumm plans to introduce Jordan's Law to enhance CPS training and limit caseloads for caseworkers without burdening county governments. Additionally, he intends to push for changes in PILOT agreements to encourage companies to reinvest in local communities. Drumm will prioritize investing in social services to support children and frontline workers, as well as ensuring adequate funding for schools and resources for educators and students.
