Katharine, serving as the Santa Fe County Clerk since 2021, has been a transformative force in election accessibility and inclusivity, emphasizing the importance of every voice in democracy. Her leadership positioned Santa Fe County as a progressive election administration model in New Mexico, earning U.S. Election Assistance Commission accolades twice for best practices. She spearheaded the installation of the most ballot drop boxes per capita in the state and initiated same-day voter registration, focusing on young, minority, and marginalized voters. Her office is also recognized for enhancing accessibility for differently-abled voters. Representing Santa Fe County at the NM Association of Counties, Clerk Clark serves on the Finance, Pensions & Intergovernmental Affairs Policy and Elections subcommittee of the National Association of Counties.
