MGR Govindarajan

MGR is a dedicated District 8 Alder who has been proud to serve the campus community effectively and passionately. He is now seeking re-election to make sure our students' unique perspectives and an understanding of the community's challenges continue to impact city decision-making. MGR believes that young people must have a direct voice that demands to be heard on the issues that matter most to us. He already has a strong record of making sure we have a seat at the table where decisions are made -- but there's still more to do.

MGR is a leader in refocusing priorities that has resulted in the City prioritizing students' needs more in the past two years than they had previously -- and he will relentlessly continue that work. Students make up a sixth of Madison's population and contribute significantly to its economy.
