Aparna Raj

Aparna Raj is a tenant organizer, union member, and the proud daughter of immigrants running for DC Council. Aparna has organized tenants to take on their landlords, fight slum conditions, and win restitution. She served on her unit’s bargaining committee, fought to raise the tipped minimum wage, and has walked picket lines. Aparna's running for DC Council in Ward 1 to expand rent control, fund free childcare for all, and fight for a free DC with support for immigrants and federal workers.
