Pavan Parikh

Born and raised to immigrant parents in Cincinnati, Pavan is running to be the next Hamilton County Probate Court Judge because he believes it is time for a new generation of leadership in our courts. For too long, our specialty courts have been designed and operated as fiefdoms – insulated from the workings of the other courts and oversight of the citizens at-large. He wants to bring a real sense of public service, accountability, and duty to the Probate Court by increasing the transparency of, the accessibility to, and the empathy from the Court.

Probate Court affects everyone’s life. Given the diversity and breadth of the jurisdiction of the Court, it requires a judge who has an extensive and wide-ranging life and legal experience to tackle issues in novel and innovative ways. Pavan believes that experience is defined by the quality of the decisions we make and not solely based upon longevity. Considering the totality of his career as a lawyer in private practice and working for a judge, as an educator teaching at UC Law and Xavier University, in business working for a $100 billion bank, in the government as the top Democratic lawyer at the Ohio Senate, and in the Army Reserve as a judge advocate, it is unequivocally evident that he has dedicated his life and career to lifting people up. He will transform the Court to better serve the people of Hamilton County. Pavan lives in Cincinnati with his wife, son, and dog.
