Abbi is a Registered Nurse with a background primarily in emergency nursing and critical care who is running for McLean County Coroner.
Abbi has worked as a flight nurse serving rural communities and as an ER nurse, where she has spent the majority of her time working with life-threatening cases at Critical Access and Level 1 Trauma Centers throughout Illinois. Abbi has established outstanding working relationships with local EMS agencies and Law Enforcement.
Abbi believes that the Coroner is in a position to greatly influence the health and lives of those in her county. Her knowledge, experience, and education will allow her to build collaborative relationships with existing organizations in McLean County to implement programs aimed at helping those in her county live healthier and longer lives. Abbi wants to be a public servant who is active in her community, so when tragedy strikes they know the woman who is helping them cope with it. She understands the importance of helping families that have experienced a traumatic event in their lives, and having compassion for everyone, no matter their social status.
Abbi is a veteran with the Illinois Army National Guard. She is an active volunteer with the Heyworth Storm youth basketball team, and volunteers as an instructor with Boy Scouts of America at their Boy Scout Camp.
