Corey Givens Jr.

Corey, a fourth-generation native of St. Petersburg, FL, is a graduate of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. Currently pursuing a master’s degree, Corey's academic journey began at Florida State University, where he earned his Associate in Arts certificate.

Apart from his academic pursuits, Corey is also an ordained Minister in the Baptist church and actively engages in various civic organizations in his community. These include roles in the Poor People’s Campaign, Junior League of St. Petersburg Community Advisory Council, and serving on the Board of the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of St. Petersburg, Inc.

With a passion for mentorship and advocacy, Corey is involved in mentoring programs such as the 5000 Role Models and Big Brothers & Big Sisters. His involvement extends to associations like Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Lakewood Terrace Neighborhood Association, and the NAACP St. Petersburg Branch.

Committed to addressing the needs of his community, Corey focuses on key issues such as public safety, support for parents and schools, and increasing affordable housing. As a dedicated leader and advocate, Minister Corey Givens Jr. strives to build alliances and consensus to better serve the people of St. Petersburg.
