Cole Fine

Kansas House, District 15, KS

2020 Endorsement

Born and raised in Johnson County, Cole is a lifelong Kansan and proud graduate of Kansas public schools by way of the Blue Valley School District. He recently graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a B.S./B.A. in Political Science, concentrated in Public Law and Theory.

Cole served as Student Body President, working to secure tens of millions of dollars in funding to ensure sufficient mental and physical healthcare for the students at UCM. As Student Body President, he also had the opportunity to lead on a variety of legislative advocacy efforts.

As a college student, Cole held positions of leadership at UCM and spearheaded resource efforts to support at-risk students. He also worked with The American Democracy Project, a nonpartisan organization focused on civic engagement -- informing, educating, and registering voters, regardless of political affiliation.

Johnson County has always been Cole's home. He is a member of Church of the Resurrection, a former referee for the Overland Park Soccer Complex, a former pilot at the Johnson County Executive Airport, and a passionate volunteer and public servant. He says: "My community is everything to me, and that is why I’m excited about the opportunity to represent Johnson County in Topeka. District 15 deserves a bipartisan legislator who is dedicated to working on important issues facing Kansans. Legislative politics is complicated, but working together to better our communities should not be."
