Conrad Blackburn

Conrad Blackburn is a public defender, labor organizer, and democratic socialist. Harlem — the birthplace of so much culture and a center of Black political thought — has made him who he is today. Yet the political machine gripping Harlem has divested from its people, leaving families struggling to afford rent, childcare, and groceries — a struggle Conrad knows intimately. He grew up poor, raised by a single mother. As a union organizer, he has seen firsthand the power of solidarity and leaving no one behind.
