Kelsey Marletta

Kelsey is running for a seat on Radford City’s school board with a focus on fostering collaboration, hard work, and transparency to benefit students, families, staff, and the community. Amid recent challenges, such as high staff turnover and disconnect between the school district and Radford community, she is committed to exploring meaningful solutions to enrich the lives of all stakeholders. As a mother of three, with one child in 5th grade and twins, she is personally invested in shaping a school district that prioritizes student welfare and family engagement.

Kelsey’s initiatives include enhancing student and staff safety measures, partnering with local organizations to establish an afterschool childcare program, guaranteeing VRS for all district employees, and advocating for improved mental health resources. She strongly believes in empowering teachers within the classroom and aligning school board policies to support their efforts. With a track record of success, Radford City Schools have made significant strides that Kelsey aims to continue by fostering unity and progress within the school board.
