Ben Ming

New Hampshire House, Hillsborough 40, NH

2020 Endorsement

Ben is running for the New Hampshire House to make NH a more affordable place to live for all Granite Staters. He has heard the concerns of his community as a member of the Hollis Planning Board and he intends to make a significant difference as a first-term legislator by using his experience as a real estate and estate planning lawyer.

Ben’s inspiration to run and put in the hard work that’s necessary to make a positive impact in his community can be summed up in one word: family. Being married to a frontline medical worker, he’s acutely aware of the sacrifices that healthcare workers and their families have made during the global pandemic. He wants to be a part of the solution that will give true support to those workers.

Like many parents, Ben took an active role in remote learning, and he wants to give a voice to those parents that also balanced professional, teaching, and parenting responsibilities, all while not leaving home. He believes parents should have representatives that have that shared experience, in a legislative body that is one of the oldest in the nation.

Ben has a diverse family and, like much of the country, conversations about race have greatly increased within his family. He feels an obligation to do everything in his power to not allow hate to succeed in his community and he believes it begins with representation in one of the least diverse states in America.
