As the President and CEO of the California Latino School Boards Association for the past four years, he utilizes his expertise to guide school board members statewide on fostering positive changes for students. Born, raised, and educated in Santa Clara County, Jorge is deeply committed to public service, especially within his local community.

Jorge's primary focus is on advocating for vulnerable students, drawing from his personal experience as both an English learner and special education student. His goal in running for a position on the Santa Clara County Board of Education is to champion policies that positively impact the county's 260,000+ students and its 31 local school districts through the Santa Clara County Office of Education.

His key initiatives include prioritizing safety measures for special education students, ensuring secure classrooms, and providing teachers with necessary support. Additionally, Jorge aims to promote the advancement of artificial intelligence in education to ensure all students and educators have access to and training in this vital technology.
