Josh Taveras

Josh Taveras was born in Copiague to Dominican immigrants, teaching him resilience early as he translated for his parents, faced hardship, and overcame grief. A top student and Stony Brook political science graduate, he built a retail leadership career while organizing for working families, equality, and housing. As a gay Latino without wealth or insider ties, Josh is running for State Senate to fight for overlooked communities and prove that our future is bigger than our circumstances.
