Brian Romero

Brian Romero is running for New York State Assembly, District 34, after serving as Chief of Staff and now Senior Advisor to State Senator Kristen Gonzalez. He served nearly five years as Chief of Staff to Assembly Member Jessica González-Rojas, where he led legislative and budget strategy. Brian advanced laws on abortion access, transgender rights, gun violence prevention, transit access, and worker protections, and helped win universal school meals statewide. He previously worked at GMHC and has taught at CUNY Hunter College and Stony Brook University.
