Christopher Jaramillo

Chris is a dedicated advocate for educational equity and community representation on the school board. With extensive experience in education, policy, and advocacy, including roles as a teacher and administrator in both public schools and universities, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his position. As the first Latino member of the NASD school board, Chris is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

During his time on the board, Chris has spearheaded initiatives such as establishing Educational Equity programs, recognizing Black History Month, and expanding World Language offerings in Middle School. His leadership has led to tangible improvements in student outcomes, including significant increases in Math proficiency and the implementation of summer programs to address learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chris is seeking re-election to continue his work addressing educational inequities and advocating for all students. Through responsible fiscal management and a focus on student well-being, he aims to create a more inclusive and successful learning environment for all members of the community.
