Gene Kim

Gene is a seasoned attorney with expertise in law, public policy, business management, and start-ups. As a first-generation college graduate and a product of California public schools, Gene is deeply committed to advocating for quality education. Currently serving as an at-large Trustee for the San Mateo-Foster City School District, he is also a candidate for Trustee Area 5 in the upcoming election.

Gene's dedication to public education is evident in his efforts to shape education policy at local, state, and federal levels. In his role as Trustee, he focuses on enhancing parent and teacher engagement, fostering transparency and accountability, and spearheading innovative initiatives such as community schools and improved school nutrition programs.

With a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, a J.D. from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Gene Kim combines his legal and business acumen to drive positive change in the education sector for current and future generations.
