Jessie Lopez

Jessie, a proud Santa Ana native, is deeply rooted in her community due to her upbringing in a working-class immigrant family. After graduating from Santa Ana College and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach, she held various roles in law firms and nonprofits. Throughout her career, she has been a passionate advocate for issues such as sexual assault awareness and equitable access to education. During the pandemic, Jessie dedicated her efforts as a community health worker, focusing on the well-being of marginalized groups, especially within the Latino community.

Elected in 2020 to represent Ward 3, Jessie has been a vocal proponent of equity and transparency in local governance. Despite facing a recall campaign led by the police association in 2023, she emerged victorious due to her unwavering dedication to accountability. Jessie's commitment to civic engagement extends to her involvement as a central committee member in the Democratic Party of Orange County, where she strives to promote equal opportunities and community empowerment. With a proven track record of effective leadership, Jessie continues to uplift and advocate for Santa Ana families, believing in the power of inclusive and participatory governance.
