Tom Haggard

Tom has devoted his career to advocating for the needs of children in Covington and throughout Kentucky. With experience ranging from youth work in summer programs to leading state policy and advocacy initiatives for access to quality afterschool programs, Tom is dedicated to creating a better future for children. A third-generation Covington resident and a proud graduate of Covington Schools, he is seeking re-election to the Covington Board of Education.

Tom's objectives for Covington schools are clear – he believes children deserve schools that are outstanding, involved, and fair. By setting high standards and fostering a culture of excellence, he aims to ensure that every graduating senior can pursue their chosen path to success. Through enhanced neighborhood involvement, Tom intends to increase enrollment, parental participation, and community backing for the schools. By emphasizing equity, he is confident that every student, regardless of their address or background, can receive a top-notch education.
