Mary, a McDonough resident for 23 years, hails from a family of hardworking immigrant parents who own a small business in the community. She graduated from Henry County High School, managed full-time work and night classes as a single parent, and is the first in her family to receive a college degree. With a bachelor's in Criminal Justice Leadership from Mercer University and a master's in Public Administration from Clayton State University, she now pursues a Juris Doctorate from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School.
As a proud Latina and woman of color, Mary Ann is passionate about empowering others through volunteer work. Despite her professional endeavors, she finds the most fulfillment in motherhood to her two children, expressing her artistic side, and engaging with the Tabernacle of Praise Church International.
