Andrea Sorce

Andrea is an experienced educator and advocate committed to social and economic justice. As a tenured Professor of Economics at Diablo Valley College, she brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her role. In addition to her work in education, Andrea is a co-founder of the ACLU Solano County Chapter and actively promotes housing justice, First Amendment protections, and police reform in Vallejo. Her passion for positive change extends to her involvement in leadership development programs and volunteering with asylum seekers and survivors of domestic violence.

Originally from North Carolina, Andrea holds a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard, where she was a recipient of a public service fellowship. With a focus on integrity, transparency, and inclusion, Andrea is dedicated to making a difference in her community and beyond.
