Maia Pearson

Maia, a third-generation South Madisonian and Vice President of Madison’s Board of Education, is dedicated to protecting and advocating for Wisconsinites. A proud working mother of three teenagers, Maia holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with a focus on cultures in the age of globalization and development. Her personal experiences have shaped her understanding of poverty, the importance of state support, and the value of hard work to secure a better future for families and communities. With a background in youth development, Maia has spent over a decade advocating for affordable and accessible college education and voter rights. She has a proven track record of working collaboratively with community members, organizations, and elected officials at all levels of government. If elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly District, Maia will prioritize addressing key issues such as public education funding, worker rights, economic development for marginalized populations, affordable housing, environmental justice, and reproductive rights. Her goal is to create a Wisconsin that serves the needs of all its residents.
