Nora Nashawaty

Nora is a dedicated community advocate residing in Chanhassen for 14 years, focusing on community engagement, housing accessibility, sustainability, and walkable/bike-friendly infrastructure. With a B.S. in Genetics from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and an M.S. in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University, she currently serves as a Cancer Genetic Counselor in a community oncology practice.

As a candidate for Chan City Council, Nora’s priorities include promoting community engagement, enhancing housing accessibility, advocating for sustainability in city projects, and improving walkable/bike-friendly infrastructure. She aims to collaborate with the Council and city staff to adjust zoning regulations to support diverse housing options for residents and prioritize sustainability practices in city development.
