Tenia Denard

Tenia is a dedicated advocate for children, families, and vulnerable populations. Throughout her time as a student and mother, she prioritized championing the rights and opportunities of nontraditional students on campus. With a strong belief in equality and inclusion for all, Tenia works tirelessly to eliminate barriers and enhance access to resources for those in need.

As a candidate for the Macomb County Board of Commissioners, Tenia aims to ensure that the community maintains its reputation as a fantastic place to live, work, and raise a family. Recognizing the importance of active involvement in effecting change, she is committed to engaging with the community to foster positive transformations.

Having successfully raised two daughters who are now pursuing higher education, Tenia advocates for increased educational opportunities and funding to secure better future outcomes for youth. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit services, she brings a strong work ethic and passion for serving Macomb County residents. Tenia's dedication to empowering young people to engage in the political process reflects her belief in leading by example and paving the way for a brighter future for all.
