Cooper Reed

Cooper Reed is a dedicated member of the Waldo County community, running for a seat on the RSU 71 School Board of Directors. With firsthand experience in the district as a former student and a current parent, he prioritizes the importance of local education and aims to protect schools from consolidation. Cooper brings expertise in education policy, anti-bullying measures, and youth suicide prevention, essential qualities for the School Board.

Throughout his career, Cooper has been committed to helping others through political and policy work. Starting as a volunteer for campaigns at a young age, he transitioned to paid positions at just 15 and has since worked on various campaigns, ballot initiatives, and for nonprofit organizations. His experience includes five years at one of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations, where he continued to drive positive change in his community.
