Demi Palecek

Demi Palecek is a queer Latina and the daughter of a Mexican immigrant and a Vietnam veteran. She grew up working class and joined the military at 19, later becoming a survivor advocate in the Army National Guard. In Chicago’s 13th District, Demi organizes mutual aid, leads the 46th Ward Democrats, and fights for affordable housing, strong public schools, reliable transit, reproductive freedom, and immigrant rights. She’s running to bring working-class, pro-peace leadership to Springfield.
