Rachelanne Vander Werf

Rachelanne is running for the American River Flood Control District as an environmental scientist and a community activist who has studied and dedicated her service to improving and maintaining the quality of water and water resources in the Sacramento Valley area. With a Bachelors in Environmental Policy and Masters in Water Resource Management, she hopes to utilize her specialized background to better her community. Flood protection is extremely important in Sacramento as many folks live in floodplains. She’s running because she feels that her professional focus and experience, education and love of her community would be an asset to the District.
