James Talarico

James Talarico is a proud 8th generation Texan. After graduating from Round Rock ISD public schools, with the help of a PTA scholarship and financial aid, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin and his master’s degree in Education Policy from Harvard University.

James then taught 6th grade at an underserved public school where he worked with kids and families to close the gaps in his classroom. He now serves as the local Executive Director of a nonprofit that provides innovative technology to thousands of our students.

James is committed to working with everyone — Republicans, Democrats, and Independents — to move Texas forward.
