Marinda Kimmel

Mindy Kimmel was born and raised in New Ulm, in her largely rural MN district. She has a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Master's Degree in counseling from the University of Wisconsin Superior. She was inspired to run for the MN State House district 16B following the 2016 election. The negativity of the political landscape did not reflect the spirit of greater Minnesota. Mindy has spent the last 8 years working as a Marriage and Family Therapist. During this experience she has been able to listen to people with conflicting ideas and help find common ground. She seeks to bring her values of seeking solutions together, helping others, and protecting families to the MN legislature.
