Monique Diaz was born in San Antonio, Texas to her Puerto Rican mother and Dominican father. The first in her family to graduate from college, Monique earned her undergraduate degree from UT Austin and law degree from St. Mary’s Law School. Monique started her own practice representing low-income families, victims of domestic violence, small businesses, nonprofits, and governmental entities. She has also served as a City Attorney and City Prosecutor for eight municipalities statewide. Monique currently sits on the Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women and is a Board Member of the Maestro Entrepreneur Center.
