Meredith Place

Meredith is the daughter of a public school teacher and a disabled Vietnam veteran. Growing up in a small town, her parents instilled in her the value of hard work and integrity. Meredith is a proud and active member of her community serving on Portage Planning Commission, Vice Chair on the county’s Environmental Health Advisory Council, member of the League of Women Voters, and leader in many local organizations.

Meredith is running as a consensus builder, who has the experience and relationships needed to address the issues plaguing Kalamazoo County. In addition, Meredith is a listener, endless fighter for justice, and she will work to make sure we live in a community we are all proud to call home.
