J.D. Ford

J.D. is running for the Indiana State Senate in District 29. As the son of a truck driver, millennial and as a first-generation college student; J.D. grew up in a blue collar household where his mother and father taught him that you can't expect results if you don't work hard for them. And, that's exactly what J.D. is doing. So far, J.D. has walked over 200 miles in Senate District 29 to listen to his neighbors. J.D. believes that being a stellar public servant means he has to be in the community doing more listening than talking. J.D.'s platform consists of the 5 'E's.' They are: Education, Economy, Elections, Equality and the Environment. When J.D. wins in November, he will be Indiana's only out-serving member of the legislature, thus providing a crucial and necessary voice on LGBTQ+ issues.
