Zellnor Myrie

Zellnor is running for State Senate to give back to the Central Brooklyn community that raised him. As the son of Costa Rican immigrants and a proud product of public schools - his fight to defend immigrant rights, fully fund public education, and expand affordable housing is a personal one. Zellnor grew up in a rent-stabilized apartment and after receiving his BA and MA from Fordham University, he went on to become the first lawyer in his family when he graduated from Cornell Law. When his State Senator broke away from the Democrats in 2016, Zellnor knew his community needed a representative who would take a stand for working families.
