Sam Edwards

Sam Edwards is an entrepreneur and community organizer who has lived in District 85 her whole life and knows the challenges people face here. She was a Girl Scout here, graduated from public school here, and started a successful small business here after she graduated from college to stay close to and support her family after her dad died. Sam has always had a strong drive to serve her community. She co-founded a local organization, Indivisible Midlands, that has received national and local recognition through its work to hold elected representatives accountable to their constituents. Sam strongly believes in South Carolina and in representative democracy, which is why Sam is challenging a 20-year incumbent who has run without a democratic challenger for almost a decade. Sam will bring what she has learned serving her community through her career and volunteerism to bring real democracy to South Carolina’s House District 85.
