Abbie Smith

Abbie is an experienced CEO with a proven record in the non-profit community. Abbie began her non-profit experience as Vice President of the Tipton County Foundation before accepting a position as the Executive Director of the Legacy Endowment Community Foundation. In January 2013, Abbie joined the United Way of Howard County as its President leading a forward-focused change in collaboration with the board and volunteers.

Under her leadership, the United Way of Howard County developed an aggressive strategic plan including a reorientation toward investing in social ecosystems that improve lives in regard to education, financial stability, and health.
