Carmen Eckard

Carmen is running for Ward 1 Alderman in Hickory, NC, because many improvements are being made in Hickory, but most of them are not helping the people who need the most help. Our opioid, crime and homelessness problems are enormous and on the rise, yet our leadership seems to be focused only on massive improvements downtown and on the lake, which don’t address the issues that are threatening our great city. She wants to be sure that Hickory is a safe and wonderful city for ALL people, including the ones who are struggling mightily.
