Jennifer Love Tang

Jennifer Love Tang is running for city council to represent her hometown of Monterey Park. As the daughter of war refugees, Jennifer knew how lucky she was to live in a stable, safe community. At age 21, Jennifer traveled to Cambodia, where she started her career as a teacher. As an educator, Jennifer has helped narrow the achievement gap in her classroom, designed innovative technology for startup companies, engaged student-activists in the political process, advocated for policies on Capitol Hill, and co-founded a progressive grassroots organization. She is running to be the working and middle class champion her city needs.
