Joshua Ashton is an 18 year old proud graduate of the Vail Unified School District and a first-time candidate for its Governing Board. He is bringing new ideas for the new decade with his campaign, through a progressive, policy-driven, people-powered focus on revitalizing the democratic process in the Vail area. His highest priorities are school safety, mental health, and supporting our educators.
Joshua has been an advocate for public education since 2014 (when he was only 13), most recently working as the Political Director for March For Our Lives Arizona and a Program Coordinator for the Metropolitan Education Commission.
