Kristen Goldsmith

Kristen is running for Asheville City Council because she believes in building a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. This includes safe and affordable housing, a transit system that is free and reliable, and growth that is equitable and sustainable. Kristen’s lived-experience gives her the courage to fight for bold solutions. She’s a shift worker, a former architect, and since 2016 she’s been a precinct leader and organizer for the Democratic Party. Kristen believes in the aspirational, progressive values of Asheville, and she’s going to fight to translate those values into policy realities.
