Iman Jodeh
2020 Endorsement
Iman is a first generation American and Coloradan who has spent her entire life in HD 41. She is the daughter of refugees, the product of public schools, and a trained political scientist. She will bring all of these aspects of her life to successfully represent the people of HD41 in the legislature through her proven record of service, leadership, and advocacy.
As the former Deputy Political Director and now Community Advocate and Liaison at the Interfaith Alliance Colorado and as a board member for Colorado’s Women’s Lobby, Iman has spent the last several years working at the Capitol and in the community. Through her social advocacy work, she empowered Coloradans to share their stories and influence policy at the Capitol, worked with legislators to protect the rights of Coloradans, and has been educating people on legislation that will impact their lives through grassroots efforts.
This work earned her the title of 'Rights Fighter' by Colorado Politics. Much of Iman’s work has required her to monitor all religious and civil liberty legislation, which includes testifying, building relationships with representatives and stakeholders and attending press conferences, events and trainings centered around bold, progressive inclusion.
Iman is also proud to represent the community through her other memberships and board appointments at the Village Exchange Center, Ready to Work Aurora, Colorado Coalition Against Hate, Drive Project, and as the first female the Spokeswoman for the Colorado Muslim Society, the largest and oldest mosque in the Rocky Mountain region.
