Megan Murray

New Hampshire House of Representatives, Hillsborough 22, NH

2020 Endorsement

Wife and mom to three amazing young kids, Rep. Megan Murray works hard to continue to address the needs of her community as a State Representative.

Running for a second term in the New Hampshire House, in the most extraordinary of times, Megan wants to continue to echo the needs of those in her community. She understand that the most immediate needs have changed, but is also aware of what other issues continue to be present and need addressing within the state.

Educational policy issues and those within the Environment & Agriculture committee, are important to her. Her work after being appointed to a statutory committee on recycling and solid waste must continue.

Among the many difficult situations our State is now facing around COVID-19, she continues to think about tick-borne illness policy and recycling and solid waste policies. Understandably, with a marked increase in single-use disposable items being used currently, the situation places a unique stress on solid waste and recycling going forward.

An additional concern born out of the stresses of COVID-19 that she has advocated on is around hearing from constituents regarding food supplies and the need for increased resources for small, regional farms within New Hampshire. Megan has heard many concerns regarding the need for additional support at the state and federal level for these small farms and will continue to work on policy that can help address these needs.

Megan’s educational and legislative experiences and her ability to critically think about complex issues affecting Granite Staters will continue to be an asset to the New Hampshire House.
